Wood preservatives are designed to help keep your timber and wood products safe, strong, sound and protected against decay, mould, rot and algae throughout their life. There are thousands of products on the market, some of which offer protection for interior wood and timber products whilst others offer protection for your external wood and timber products. At Huws Gray, we stock a wide variety of wood preservative products from trusted industry and brand names such as Q-Shades and Curpinol. The popular Q-Shades Brush On Finish is available in 75ML containers in the colours Pebble Grey and Autumn Brown. It is a water-based coating which offers up to 10m2 of coverage on Q-Shades machined timber when diluted 10 parts water and 1 part product and up to 8m2 coverage on bare machined wood. Once it has been diluted the product has a shelf life of up to 1 month. 
We also stock the popular Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear and Curpinol Complete Five Star Treatment which are both available in 5L containers. Cuprinol Wood Preserver Clear is a colourless preserver which provides deep penetrating protection for wood against decay, mould and any blue-staining fungi. Cuprinol Complete Five Star Treatment is water based and helps to prevent insect attacks and fungal decay.

Wood preservatives and wood treatment products are usually best applied with one of our high-quality paint brushes, which helps ensure an even coat of wood preservative on the timber, even in the harder-to-reach areas.
